Charter with skipper Crewed sailing-charter berth booking Turkey - Greece

We sail along the southern Turkish coastline between ANTALYA in the (relatively) far south, up to Kusadasi and Cesme in the northern part of the Turkisch Mediterranean or Aegean coast.
Our mainbase is Marmaris, right in the middle between these two cities.

In spring (April/May) and autumn (October/November) we tend to go south to Kas, Kalkan and the south-easternmost Greek island, Megisti (better known as "Kastellorizo").
In June we visit Marmaris, Greek islands such as Rhodes, Simi, Chalki (Halki) and Kos, and then head back to Bodrum in Turkey again. We often stay in bays with crystal clear water for days, just swimming, fishing and relaxing!

As high summer approaches with scorching days and nights in July and August, we sail north and tack over to the Greek Dodecanese islands - Leros, Kalymnos, Patmos and Samos. We sometimes also detour to take in the Cycladic ring of islands in the Greek Aegean sea, with islands such as Amorgos (made famous by Luc Besson's diving movie "Le Grand Bleu"), the gay and
party island Mykonos, quieter islands such as Naxos and Paros and others too numerous to name!

In 2005 we will visit the island of Crete again, which was a very nice experience for us in 2004 already. This year, we want to see more of it, and sail in August from Heraklion via Rethimio, Chania to the very western part and back along the southern coastline. There is no set itinerary -we will sail, and stay, where we like it, rent scooters or a car and cross the islands "outback".
On our point of departure and together we decide on the best destination. We're not bound to any tourist routes, and are free to change our plans as we go along!

It is not necessary, to have any sailing experience - but you should be interested in active sailing and understand that a sailing-trip means working together as a team, so everybody on board has to do his/her job at a certain time!

But if you want to be an active sailor, and are interested in "doing the job", you can choose from several opportunities:

If you are part of a group of 4 to 6, you can sail with me and my boat, SY Flexen Hex´n (click for details). This boat offers 4 berths (usually for 2 couples) in the 2 aft cabins. It is possible for two or three more people to sleep in the salon. This option is usually chosen when two families with children charter the boat and I act as the skipper. (It is possible for three to sleep in the salon if they are children!) Prices depend on the season, the size of your group and any special requests, which we will be happy to cater for.
To give you an idea: 1 week including all extras and the skipper (bed linen, outboard motor, final cleaning) ranges between 2.600 and 3.200 €, while a 2-week trip saves you about 10%!

If your group is bigger than 4 - 6 , it is possible to charter a bigger boat suited to the number of your guests, which I will gladly skipper for you! Keep in mind, please, that a skipper needs a cabin of his own, so if you have a group of 8, you need a boat with 5 cabins! Also remember that the price of a "bare boat" charter does not include several optional supplementary extras, f.e. the outboard for the dinghi, the bedlinen, final cleaning can be charged extra, and (naturally) the skipper's fee of 110-150 €/day + food on board.

Chartering a berth or cabin usually costs between 450 and 550 Euros/week per person, plus a surcharge to cover expenses (Diesel, harbours, local bureaucratic fees). We usually prefer 2-week guests, because one week is really too short... ;-)

About me: I am a 49-year-non-smoker, marketing psychologist, the owner of SY Flexen Hex´n and I run an international web-based charter agency with websites in 14 languages. I've been sailing for over 15 years, and since 1992 I've been "strolling" through the waters of the Eastern Mediterranean sea.

We can communicate in German, English or Dutch. I also understand a little French, Italian, Spanish and speak "essential" Turkish.
